Antique and Contemporary silver can be valuable not only for the metal content, but for the decorative merit, or cultural and historical importance of the item.

Silver has been used for thousands of years to create both practical and decorative objects. We find that many of our clients have inherited silver objects from family, without understanding the true value. In the current market, silver is highly desirable. 

It can sometimes be difficult to tell  silver and what's silver plated. If your item has EPNS (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) marks, it will not be suitable for auction.
